Today was the beginning of the end of being busy, and we kicked it off by being very busy.

The snow and ice were lingering, but the sun was shining in that Colorado post-snowstorm way when we head out early in the morning. We were joining Volunteers of America to pack bags for veterans in need, and more than anything I’m so grateful for an opportunity to serve that was happy to include children.

After we finished, we met friends for a treat at the Bread Lounge (except me, RIP my gluten days) and a half hour or so in the cat room at Chow Down, which seems like a good idea until I have to say, multiple times, “No, we cannot adopt Snowball.”

We had another performance at the middle school in the evening and a late, late family pizza night.
