Everybody should have friends they don’t have to get out of their pajamas for. The Schauers lazed the Sunday away with us. We made a big breakfast and then, while the kids wrote a screenplay and filmed their movie, the adults moved from couch to couch and even eventually made our way out into the sunshine while football blared in the background.

In the evening, we went to my parents’ house for a spaghetti birthday dinner. Between friends and family, I’m sure our little girl felt loved. I know I did.
