Every year Trevor and I take a day for a fall date which, at the very least, consists of driving to look at leaves. This season, life is so outrageously busy, we kept having to push it back. But today, there was time. I mean, we made time. After taking yesterday off for soup, it felt a little naughty taking off another day with magazine deadlines looming over my head. But we did it, we drove over Guanella Pass with, quite possibly, half of Denver’s senior citizen population. The views were gorgeous and we popped into Westbound & Down on our way home for a snack and a beer (which I was not supposed to drink since I’m back on nightshades and trying gluten-free instead, but I think it was worth it).
