We are on the mend today and the outside is on the same page. The sun was out first thing and our property looks green enough to be spring. I have stripped the beds and washed the sheets, airing them dry on the line outside. Everyone is still home, a buffer day for ourselves and for our community members. We are maintaining restfulness, but I hear the rebound in our voices.
I never wish for illness, and still, in an odd way, I felt grateful for these two down days. Time spent at home, indulging in complete rest. I felt almost cut off from the world and it was reminiscent of our adventuring days, when all we had was us four, moving through the world in our own rhythms.
