Sunday started slow and sunny and breezy. I started some laundry and began some light cleaning, but mostly I spent the morning sipping coffee and reading and writing all sorts of things on the sunroom couch because the girls were deeply immersed in some imaginary world they’d built in their playroom.
Late morning we went to our best friends’ house for “bagels” (sorry, lived in Brooklyn, can’t find it in my heart to call anything in Colorado a bagel) and coffee. We luxuriated in the sun and the gossip we had to catch up on for hours.
I picked up groceries on the way home and we finished some chores around the house. Then we setup what might become a family tradition: Sunday reading happy hour. I made pretty mocktails with grenadine and fruit (and Juniper Jones for mom, cheers) and we stretched out on the couch with our drinks and current reads. Would recommend.
