Whatever creative energy sparked last week continues to carry me. I awoke before the sunrise just simply ready for the day. And good thing, because Trevor was still out of town and I had to figure out how to get two kids to two different schools. Thankfully, a good friend helped.
After drop off, I drove down to Denver, and even there it was cool enough in the morning to wear a fleece jacket with my outfit. I had a coffee meeting at Thump with Adam of Debutiful, and we had a grand time talking about books and publishing and the literary scene in general.
I planned lots of errands for my day down the hill, and even though the Denver day was warming up, clouds and wind kept the linger summer heat at bay. I hit two different Targets with one goal: catch all of the summer stuff on its way out so I could score some beachy items on-sale. I was successful.
I also popped into Zero Market at the Edgewater Public Market, where I not only saved some plastic bottles from the landfill, I also had a really inspiring conversation with the person working, just about art and creative spirit and following your dreams. Which is to say, FALL is in the air, and it is magic.
