I fell very behind on these after a very busy week and a weekend away. Our best friends, Mike and Kristyn, live in Fort Collins, and we ventured up there for a birthday celebration and some quality time. The drive isn’t like it was when they lived in Oklahoma, but slightly less than two hours on I-25N can kill the soul, so the girls and I packed some snacks and blasted Taylor Swift. Trevor had to drive up separately for a weekend-long work event, so we definitely put in the miles as a family this weekend.

Saturday’s festivities included painting pottery, ordering Thai food, and playing games late into the night.

I think the couple of hours in the car were worth it.
