It started raining in the afternoon and it never turned off. To be sure, it’s been a relatively rainy year for the Colorado mountains, and that is especially noticeable now that it’s mid-September and we’re getting, not only showers, but days of pouring rain. And while some my find this depressing, it only piggybacked on the creative energy I felt yesterday. Honestly, I just felt energized most of the day.

I went to my Thursday morning appointment and stopped at the post office after. I finished a lot of reading today—Hello, Beautiful and quite a bit of Delia Cai’s Central Places. I also worked on a writing project with Suzy, and brainstorming was pretty fun.

One daughter went off to a birthday party for the evening, so we took the other daughter out to dinner at El Rancho, which is surprisingly interesting and good food for the Evergreen area now that Bonanno is in charge (sorry, Evergreen).
