Today was mostly waiting for the plumber.
It was warm and sunny and breezy (are you sensing a pattern?), so I put on a light sweater and a cute skirt I’ve had for ages, but then it was still waiting for the plumber.
The good news is that, when he did come, he did not have bad news. Right now, we’re having several different house items assessed and quoted and all that fun stuff, and I wasn’t thrilled at the prospect of ripping out a fairly new bathroom to address plumbing problems. Now I don’t have to! Made the skirt feel worth it!
Trevor and I were going to go on a fall date, but we were out of time to do too much. We ate lunch together on the deck and drove into town to visit the thrift store and buy some ice cream. A smaller day than planned. Still a good day.
I want to remember that it was a good day because the end of it was overwhelming and hard. Because of the unexpected end, I have made this space semi-private and restricted the rest of my internet presence. I didn’t anticipate having to do this again, but it’s good to remember in The Age of the Internet, that privacy is a right worth protecting.
